The curricula of our degree programs are of international standards and in line with the guidelines and recommendations of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) USA, and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) USA. Our graduates are well rounded, because, in addition to having a strong technical content, our curricula have a sizeable component of humanities and social sciences. Details of the curricula for all of our degree programs, along with semester wise plans, may be found in Appendix A. The acceptance rate of our graduates is very high in the market, both in public and private sector organizations. Our graduates fulfill the needs of our country in various capacities, from network administrators to software engineers and from database administrators to teachers in institutions of higher education. This is because we are very selective in admitting students. Last year our acceptance rate was around 12%, which roughly means that for every student we admitted, we rejected nine. Most of our students pursue Computer Science and Information Technology degrees. With the introduction of BS Software Engineering and consolidation of master degree programs into one MSc Information Technology, we expect these numbers to change. Table shows the distribution of students in our various degree programs. The average male-to-female ratios are around 60:40 in our regular morning programs and 80:20 in the afternoon/evening replica programs.
