The Master of Electronic Commerce (M.E-Com.) is aimed at preparing tomorrow's business leaders who can harness the full force of Information Technologies. The program will broaden students understanding regarding Electronic Commerce and the state-of-the-art business technologies. Through the inclusion of industry oriented projects and case studies, graduates will develop skills and expertise required to face the challenges of21^st century; especially the forthcoming challenges posed by the World Trade Organization.
The program requires a practical background in commerce/business.The various components of the program--curriculum, learning resources, and faculty--have been selected to produce specific outcomes. These outcomes, while reflecting contemporary academic practice will also focus on the functional competencies required from E-Commerce Managers. The curriculum of M.E-Com is an amalgamation of E-Commerce and Information Technology courses. E-Commerce courses include coursework in E-finance, E-marketing, E-Payment and Security Systems, Import and Export Business, E-Customer Relationship Management, E-Supply Chain Management, etc. Information Technology courses include coursework in Business System Development, Operating Systems, Programming, Databases Management, Networks and Web Based Technologies As a Result, the successful graduates will exploit both the depth and breadth of E-Commerce opportunities to flourish business activities in a rapidly growing "Trillion Dollars E-Market".
